Its been quite a few month since i visited batam. Feeling excited n happy that tomorrow morning be going batam!  if you are interested with my experiences, pls allow me to intro you to a new batam rest and relax + alil shopping experiences i had apart from what you see in others blog.
Yeah! Going batam with my uncle and my hubby

I book the tickets from easybook.com, paid S$18 per pax, but however, one thing troublesome is i need to go to horizon ferry 4 days before departure to pay for the taxes which cost S$28 per pax to get the electronic tickets printed out. So total cost of the ticket per pax would be S$18+S$28=S$46.
This is because i depart from harbourfront to batam harbour bay, the reason i choose this though its slightly expensive because harbour bay its nearer to nagoya hill shopping mall, spas and massage , eateries. If you drop at batam centre or other parts of batam, though the ticket price is much cheaper, however, you still need to pay for the taxi fare to nagoya hill.when this adds up, the cost is about the same as what you paid for as compared going to harbour bay, this is more time consuming if you alight at batam centre.

Normally if i go for my own tour, i prefer to go during the weekdays, as i work during the weekends and weekday, everything is cheaper, and no need to squeze and queue with others, avoid the hassle and more importantly, can relax. The ferry we took is 10.45 am, but will try to reach early to do my own stuffs.

Morning train waiting at Farrer park station, alot of passengers waiting for trains, saw the trains are all fully packed, waited for the 10th train to be able to squeze in.Board around 9am train, train fare = S$1.35
Reach harbourfront at 9.15 am
Now waiting to board the horizon ferry
Today the crowd is ok, cos its monday

Horizon ferry is new and the interior is big

Can see not many passenger, best to go weekday, vip treatment

After alighting and cross the immigration, we stop at indo cafe for our lunch.
Its located right after the immigration point.

All food above cost S$20, each person S$6.70 each, not really that cheap, because the place is located at harbour bay jetty.

Took taxi to nagoya hill hotel, cost S$5.80

My beloved walrus, mooky lying lazily on the comfy bed

If you intend to stay in nagoya hill hotel, its best to bring extention cord so you will have more plug points.

There is fridge and safe box in the hotel room. Lucky i bring some gadgets like fan and extention cord cos there is only i universal plug in the room. The tv in the room is smart tv. U can use the remote control to key whatever things u wan to search in the internet

This iptv can use mirroring technology to synchronise your phone or tablet with this tv wirelessly.

Hotel massage, price is cheaper than spa secret, but not sure the service is good?
If you are lazy to go out, this is the best solution.

The breakfast is sumptious and with wide spread of food. From 6 to 10am daily.

The hotel lobby is bright n clean

Havent have time to go for swimming

Heehee, bet you all didnt visit this restaurant, its actually located at nagoya hill shopping mall. Ground floor. Not inside the mall. You can googled for its location.

From happiness restaurant = 6 bowls of rice, 1 plate brocolli, 1 plate of chicken, 1 plate hor fun style fried bee hoon, 1 plate of softshell crab, 1 bowl of brinjal with prawns, 1 mini basket of chicken feet steam, 1 plate of beef. Total cost sgd $32. For 3 of us, its consider cheap n worth.
Normally, i notice alot of singaporeans go batam, in their blog they nvr write in details on what the food they eat. Basically most of them only visit A&W. which i think, no other best choice ???

This is the menu we choose.
after we had our sumptious dinner, we head to 3rd floor for machine massage.
See how enjoy we are. Back n foot massage for the 3 of us only sgd $5 for 15 mins.
Cheap n good
The cinema is located on the 3rd floor beside the machine massage n the food court. The ticket is sgd $2.50. Real deal. That time, there is this jamesbond spectra, new show, but like i say, we hvnt hv time to enjoy.
Kopi toast with food below sgd $1.
This is the chicken rice, only sgd $0.50
If you are a small eater, this is the best solution

The bubble tea in sg cost 2x of this price.

You believe, this whole lot of food only sgd $9. (Fish slice soup wif rice, all the kaya toast comes free with each drink, air hitam, ice kacang, and one more big plate of rojak, all at foodpoint foodcourt. And u juz concentrate to pay only, the food is served to you personally by the waiter and waitresses inside the FOODCOURT. see this difference between sg n batam ?

Their rojak is much healthier than sg. With white turnip, green mangoes, cucumber, pineapple. But becareful when u order, even with 3 pcs of small green chillies can blow your head off. Its really hot !!!

Handsome n beautiful waiter n waitress.

My loot = the miranda hair colour cost only sgd $1.80, hello kitty pads sgd $1 each, size 42 cm charm pad cost sgd $1.60 , downey softener sgd $1.40, attack wash powder 800g sgd $1.80, mortein mosquito spray sgd $2.60.

Cheap good and no other place the price is so worth.

Visit grand duck restaurant at nagoya hill shopping mall, now they are having promotion, 40% discount excluding drinks, ordered 1 plate hor fun, 1 plate of teriyaki chicken with rice, 1 bowl fish slice with preserved egg porridge, 2 x plain wanton noodles, 1 plate of fried shitake mushroom with mayonese, and 1/2 roasted duck with 2 bowls of white rice, 3 fruit sodas all for sgd $35. Very worth it. Cant find this price in singapore.

Does these watches looks like cath kidston?
Choosing one of these as a gift for my beloved sister as her birthday is drawing near.

Taking the photo of my hubby watch. , its casio rangeman from uncle mustafa in singapore, hee hee, price is definately cheaper than casio G - factory.

A gentle tips here, if you intend to stay at batam longer, best if you buy open ticket from rhe ferry operator instead of booking through easybook.com, cos i try to extend another 1 more day, this easybook is really rigid, they dun allow me to change the date and the time , but if you book through ferry operator, they allow u to do so even if its last min changes.
End up, i pay for extra one way ticket fare which i rebook from ferry operator and spent another sgd $35 for nothing.
Quite piss off with easybook service. So rigid. They are not easy at all .

So pals, besides A&W, there are many more things to try, dun be so rigid to juz only A&W. Batam, have many more fun ways to explore on your own.

Till next time ya. Thanks for dropping by and share with me my DIY trip in batam !
